Star Communications - Neil Johnson - Family Fun Pass Ripoff Lies, lies, and shady behavior Canoga Park California
A rep from Star Communications called. He stated I had a won a five-hundred dollar shopping spree-all I needed was to pay for postage and handling, which was a mere $4.95. After much financial information was asked for, I began to get nervous, but Neil Johnson assured me all was well. I started asking more and more questions. Neil began to get pissed. I called a few days later and cancelled. None of my risk free trial items came in the mail until today-a month and a half later. I attempted to call every 800 number listed anywhere in the packet and all of them are disconnected. Beware. If something sounds too good to be true, it is. Ask a million questions of them and report them. They can't get away with this!!!!!!

The ONLY question you have to ask: do you accept MONEY ORDER?
#2Consumer Suggestion
Sun, January 29, 2006
My first advice would be: never do ANY business with strangers who are calling you. There is no way you can check the real identity of the caller. (Even caller id can not help: banks, agencies, businesess usually do not call you from the well known 800 numbers.) Either ask the info in writing, or ask for a number to call back. (AND before calling back research the "company.)
My second advice: anybody requesting MONEY for delivery (shipping, handling) of your grant, credit card, millions of $ from Nigeria, awards etc. IS a scam. Hang UP!
If you DO believe, that any company wants to give you "FREE" hundreds, thousands of dollars, and do not want to hang up,ask ONE question:
Can I send MONEY ORDER for the S&H?
Because all those scumbags want checking account and or credit card numbers (to charge you for more "services"), THEY will hang up:-))
Good luck. And put your phone number on the state/federal do not call list.
