Star Communications ripoff Orange County California
My husband got a call promising a $500 shopping spree for $4.95 with no obligation. Against better judgement he authorized a check by phone for this amount. After he hung up and told me I checked your site and found the reports on this company. I then tried their customer service # (I was given two, 800-357-9258 and 800-357-9241) to cancel and was told that I had to wait 3 business days. I asked for a supervisor repeatedly and was hung up on repeatedly. After trying to cancell 8 times, I called my bank who let me know that they could put a hold on my account but that it would cost me $40.00 to do this. I can only hope that this stops me from being ripped off further. I will update in 3 days when I call again to cancel my m membership.

Please beware if contacting your local bank to stop this rip off that there are three company names used: Star Communications, Family Fun Pass, and Half Price TV. The Half Price TV just tried to withdraw 119.90 from my account even though my husband was assured that he would only be charged 4.95.
