Star Rebates, Inc unbelievably deceptive, same old excuses, sounds so sincere, promises action, creates such frustration Seattle, Washington
I have been submitting the required information each month since July 2010. I have received my credit card credit for the agreed $20 for each category for July through November. Star Rebates is now six months past due and they have given the same excuse of being so far behind and they are working on rebates as they arrive.
In the past I have actually reached this company by email and recently spoke to someone on the phone. He promised to submit at few months rebate credit but never followed through.
I honestly believe that this company was started out in good faith as I did receive a few months of rebates, however, I truly believe that now the company is just ripping off new customers. In order to "qualify" for the rebates, it was necessary to send to $12.50 money orders, one for a specific grocery store and the other for a specific gas company. It was necessary to spend $100 at each location and then submit reports to Star Rebates. They were very specific as to how these reports were to be completed.
I am just totally frustrated and angry that a company can get away with deceiving their customers month after month and probably obtaining new customers at the same time. I have yet to figure out where they get the money that they use for their $20 rebates.

E-mail consumer rights advocate Amy Clancy @ KIRO TV she is exposing these people aclancy@kirotv.com They have ripped me off too. It's probably mail fraud. Also you can e-mail the Attorney General a complaint using the following link: www.atg.wa.gov/fileacoplaint.aspx
Good Luck
PS: I e-mailed the AG a few months ago and got my first 3 cards. I had to email them again recently.
