Following several months of coverage, which I did not use, I got sick on September 14, 2009. When I went to purchase my prescriptions, I was told I did not have insurance, only a discount. (Much different than the $15.00 co-pay listed on enrollment forms.) Then I submitted my claim for reimbursement on September 19,2009.

The last two months have included 11 phone calls inquiring into the check which has been "lost in the mail" twice. Today I spoke to a supervisor after a 19 minute wait, and was told the person who processed the checks was no longer in that position, leaving me to wonder what happened....

The entire experience has been slimy, to put it bluntly. After paying in over $1,200.00 in six months, I cannot seem to be reimbursed the $87.00 for my prescriptions. The service is as poor as the coverage, from conflicting information to blatant misinformation.

While I value having coverage, my advice to anyone considering this coverage is to invest in some vitamins and wait until you can get insurance directly from your employer. This is not health insurance, limited or not. It is a waste of money.
