During December of 2010, my daughters and I saw models at Strassberg Clothing at Great Lakes Mall in Auburn Hills. We met the owner of the "modeling" company named Victoria Thomas. When we met with Victoria she said our two daughters would need to take modeling classes with her before they could model for her company. Victoria also said she would pay my daughters to model for her. We agreed, and paid hundreds of dollars each for our daughters to take these classes from Victoria and Starr Models. After completing these classes Victoria said she had a modeling job for our daughters February 5th at Strassberg Clothing in Auburn Hills. She said she would pay each daughter $50 an hour to model at the show. My daughters did model clothes at the show for about 2-3 hours. After the show Victoria sent an email saying she would be paying the models in 60-90 AFTER the show. When we did not get paid, I emailed and called Victoria and she said the pay was not $50 an hour but $15 an hour. I agreed and said we had not been paid in 90 days. She emailed me saying she send the check soon. After another 30 days I contacted Victoria for payment and again she said she would pay soon. It is now 6 months after the show and my daughters have still not been paid by Victoria and Starr Rose Models. Over this time Victoria continues to offer expensive classes and so called auditions for potential jobs to my daughters and dozens of other children in the area with hopes of being a professional model. We have never heard back after any audition from Victoria. We understand that these kind of scam model companies do this type of thing. However, we have never experienced being offered payment for a modeling job, doing the job, then not being paid for the job. That's just fraud, plain and simple and should not be allowed by any business. Especially one that takes advantage of children and their families. Victoria Thomas and Starr Rose Modeling Talent is obviously a fake and fraud and people should be warned.
