Please people beware. I don't know how these people found me but one day I went on line to apply for a payday loan. I didn't even think to deal directly with a bank or lending company. I filled out all my personal information not once but several times because it kept re-directing me to different companies supposedly to find the best lending company to fit my needs since I have really bad credit.

That's when my NIGHTMARE began. Before I even got a response about my payday loan, I was being sent tons of text messages to my cell phone about varies promotions I was entitled to. Like free songs for my cell phone, something about a free computer or DVD. I was still on my computer and by this time I didn't even know which website I was even on when all of a sudden the website closed. I kept thinking "how weird was that?". I even tried to go back into the website but it would not allow me to. The next day when I went online to check my checking account, there was a charge of $31.98 that came out of my debit card. The description said " IDCUSTSERV.COM". I called my bank and told them I never authorized this nor did I know who the company was. It turned out to be ID THELF, a program to help people from getting their identities stolen. How funny! Right? WRONG! The next day my bank was presented with a check for $99.00 from STARTER CREDIT DIRECT. No signature required. I had to go down to the bank immediately to have my account closed and to fill out papers for fraud on my account. This took several hours. These companies should be fined, arrested, and closed down!!! People please beware!!!

EDP REPORTING

Hi I really don't have a rebuttal. I totally agree. I just have a question. My mom is going through h3ll with this same company. I was just wondering if you were ever able to get your money back. Months had past before my mother even found out who was taking money out of her account. She doesn't even remember submitting an application to them, but she had been filing out alot of payday loan applications. Sometimes it's hard to just deal directly with a lender, because most of these sites just match you with a lender.

This is how I got mixed up with BIG. I know I never completed an application with them (BIG) directly. But that is a different story. I am tring to help my mom find out if she can get her money back. It doesn't look good for her. The person from EDP said that a consumer only has 3 days to cancel in order to get a refund. Lucky for them. Unlucky for the consumer. Also, did you get a prepaid card in the mail. They told my mom she is being charged a 14.00 fee every month for a Century Platinum card she never got. She don't even know what website to go on to do any shopping if she wanted to, which she doesn't. Please beware of this company. Beware of payday loan sites, especially the ones that want to match you with a company. Do your homework. If anyone has answers to my question, please post here. Thanks
