My alternator went bad in my car and being limited on income, I decided to try and find a company to rebuild my alternator. My boyfriend found StartMart in the phone book and we took it down there to be rebuilt.

I thought everything was fine after that. The car ran smoothly again until about three months ago. My battery light came on and my Driver Information Center on my car said" Service Electrical System Soon". I had the battery and all the wiring checked and everything was fine and so all fingers pointed to the alternator.

We took the alternator down to AutoZone who tested it and said it was only pushing 2 volts. I took my alternator down to StartMart who tested it themselves and said there was nothing wron with it. My boyfriend told them that he wanted them to rebuild the alternator again and at first they were hesitant about it but finally agreed to do it.

We waited 1.5 hours for them to rebuild the alternator. Finally after receiving the part, we put it in the car. It still didn't work!! I even took the liberty to replace the battery just to make sure and it didn't do any good. I took the alternator again to be tested at a mechanic and he said it was defective.

StartMart refuses to fix the part even though I have a warranty that states "it will be replaced or repaired" as long as my warranty is in effect, which by the way doesn't expire for 4 more years.

I checked the BBB on StartMart only to find they have an unsatisfactory record and refuse to fix problems with many people. Save yourself time, stress, and money and never go to StartMart for anything. We have contacted a lawyer and I will update this report.

WE PAID TO HAVE OUR STARTER REBUILT ON OUT 1988 HONDA ACCORD. WAS WORKING GREAT FOR 2 MONTHS. THEY HAVE A WARRANTY SO I SAID COOL I TOOK IT BACK TO THEM, THEY CHARGED ME $175.00 LABOR TURNS OUT THE WARRANTY IS ONLY ON PARTS NOT LABOR. RIP OFF!!!!
