I am posting to warn others of the high pressure sales pitch and deceptive marketing practices I encountered during a long phone conservation with representatives of Startup Essentials last evening. These people are praying on unsuspecting individuals who have most probably lost their jobs, as I have, and are very. very vulnerable. I feel very stupid for falling for the pushey sales pitch, when every thought going through my mind said "RUN, this is a SCAM!!!" After over two hours of cajolling by several people, I relented. I signed a contract on line, then, they presented the disclaimers. Had I known of them before hand, I would have hung up on them.

I intend on sending back the laptop and any other materials they may send me. The laptop will cost over $1400.00 if I keep it for the 48 month length of the contract, and it probably is not worth half that. I can contact my bank and try to keep them from taking any money from my account, but if I need a lawyer to fight these people, I do not know how I will be able to afford one.

I will try to contact the other companies involved here to cancel the contract but do not know how successful I will be.
