I AM A GOLD CLUB STARWOOD PREFERRED GUEST, AND HAVE SPENT TENS OF THOUSANDS AT THEIR HOTELS. STARWOOD ATTEMPTED AND DID SUCCEED IN RIPPING OFF BLACKS ATTTENDING THE CARIBANA FESTIVAL IN TORONTO BY CHANGING THE PRICE OF ALL ROOMS OF THE ATTENDEES WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE UNTIL THEY ARRIVED AT THE HOTELS. IN SOME CASES THE PRICE DOUBLED. I CAUGHT THEM WHEN THEY TRIED GIVING 3 AND 4 EXPLANATIONS FOR THE GOUGING IN WRITING AND ON TAPE. WE ARE SUING.

This is unlikely... do question your motives

I am an employee of a Starwood Resort Hotel. Starwood properties require that you sign for a rate at check in. If you signed for the rate at check in, then that is the rate you agreed to pay and neither of you can change it. If they changed that rate on you, pointing out that that is not what you signed for is all it should have taken to fix the situation.

You say that you were there for a conference. The person or people that booked your conference signed the contract for the group rate. If the rate(s) you were charged are what were previously agreed upon with the hotel, then you have no case.

I do question your motives, as you were sure to point out the fact that the people who were "victimized" were black. I ask you what that has to do with anything, and why do you feel that pointing out that fact is important?
