Statebridge Company LLC Statebridge Capital They did not pay my real estate taxes from my escrow account. Greenwood Village Colorado
Statebridge Company LLC bought my mortgage from Quantum Service Corporation, in 2011 or 2012. We had an escrow account that was supposed to be for our homes taxes and our homeowners insurance. The 1st year Statebridge did not pay our insurance or our real estate taxes. We had the insurance reinstated, and they paid the taxes owed.
Every year after that we would call on the 1st of April to tell them to pay our taxes and insurance. When we found out our taxes was not getting paid we decided to get rid of Statebridge. The only way we could get rid of them was to refinance our mortgage. When we started the refinance process with Quicken loan I made sure to inform Quicken the reason we were refinancing, which was Statebridge never paid our taxes. We told them they were behind on our taxes, and we told Quicken, that Statebridge would tell us the taxes were paid when the weren’t.
When Quicken told me that the taxes were not paid, I told them yes, I know we told you multiple times that Statebridge never pays the taxes. I also told them that Statebridge lies about paying the taxes. So I called Statebridge and I told them that the taxes had to be paid in full before Quicken could refinance. They said they paid them. I then told Quicken that Statebridge said they paid the back taxes, but I also told Quicken that Statebridge lies, and they don’t pay the taxes. I said double check the payment on the taxes.
The company Quicken hired did not check to see if the taxes were paid, which of course they were not paid. Even though the money was taken from our mortgage payment, Statebridge DID NOT PAY our taxes. Statebridge owed taxes from 2nd half of 2014 general taxes, 2015 general taxes for entire year, and 2016 general taxes and school taxes.
So Statebridge paid the 2014 and the 2015 back taxes, but they never paid 2016’s taxes. So our new mortgage bank paid the taxes that Statebridge owed for 2016 which was around $8500. Then our new mortgage bank told us we had to pay the 2016’s back taxes to them. After a huge fight they told us to fix this mess they would lend us the money to pay for the back taxes.
When we went back to Statebridge and told them they owed us $8500. In back taxes they said,” we don’t owe you the money for the taxes as our new mortgage holder had paid the back taxes, so they don’t have to pay it. When I explained to Statebridge that we are paying our new mortgage company back the money for the taxes, Statebridge’s escrow department said that they don’t have to pay the back taxes because they were already paid by Quicken, which technically was us paying them back.
We have been fighting with them for 2 years now because we were not informed that we owed back taxes until we were notified in June of 2018. Statebridglied and had never paid all of the back taxes, probably because they had no money to pay for the taxes because of all the late fees when our taxes were never ever paid on time.
