I purchased a set of Jewelry from the Stauer Company that was advertised in the NRA magazine American Hunter.  It was a ring, bracelet, earrings, and necklace all totaling $399.00.  It was advertised that their science has found a way to duplicate the diamond.  I made the purchase for a Christmas gift, but held it till April for a birthday gift instead.  When my wife saw the jewelry, she thought it was way too much for the product received. She called it high price costume jewelry  She called the company and asked if any of the jewelry was real, and the spokes person was very rude, and said yes it was good jewelry.  My wife said sterling silver always has a mark stating sterling silver and this did not have any such markings on it.  We packed it up and sent it back to the company with a letter inside stating why we sent it back and expected a full refund.

Stauer decided to send it back to us with no explanation of any kind. So we sent it back again with an additional letter stating that we did not want the jewelry or want it shipped back again.  We notified the credit card company but they said too much time had passed for them to hold payment. After waiting two months, I called Stauer and asked why I havent received my credit or payment, they again were very rude and said flat out I would never get my money returned, and when asked about the jewelrythey stated they never received the return and hung up.  Because I never sent it insured, or FedEx, or UPS, there was no tracking ability by sending it by regular mail.  Now I have no jewelry, and am out $400.00.  Since I purchased it using the advertisement in the NRA magazine, I called the NRA to invoke their help.  For over two years now I have never obtained the right dept. that could help me.

So I am making this post, and I warn everyone who buys from advertisers in the NRA magazinesbewarethe NRA is just collecting money. Period!  No one from the NRA could transfer me to the right dept.  Everyone I spoke to there did not want to be bothered with my request.

Now, I will NOT RENEW my NRA subscription until either the Stauer, or NRA mail me $399.00.  My membership is due to be renewed in 2010,
