We are a victim of STAYWELL HOSPITALITY GROUP.

Despite that our hotel has no formal agreement with Staywell Group, Richard Doyle the in house solicitor for Staywell has refused to remove our hotel from their website and even as at today the listing remains despite numerous written requests to remove it. We have lodged a formal complaint with the department of Fair Trading in Sydney who have investigated this matter to formally demand that Lido Suites be removed from their website. Fair Trading concluded that STAYWELL GROUP has misled the public and contravened certain Australian laws. This misleading and deceptive conduct continues as Staywell has just ignored any request to rectify this situation by us, our lawyers and fair trading. This behaviour would lead customers and Investors to believe that Staywell has more hotels under its management that what is in fact the case. There is much press about Staywell's plans to float the compnay on the Australian Stock Exchange based on false representations to potential investors.

Richard Doyle is a dispicable man and has no regard for ethical and lawful business dealings. Anyone who intends to deal with STAYWELL should be very careful as they love to start law suits againt anyone they can to extort money. If you are a hotel owner thinking about using any service by STAYWELL, you are advised to avoid this at any cost as the company and its directors do not have any genuine intentions to help your busienss, they are just out to take your money and cause you endless pain.

LUHM SETTLEMENT

I am the author of this report. My company was sued by StayWell Hospitality Group (Leisure Inn) because it leased a property managed by StayWell which they alleged was in breach of StayWell’s management agreement with the former owner of the property. My initial post was inaccurate - the department of Fair Trading did not conclude that StayWell has misled the public or contravened Australian laws. Although my company demanded that the department of Fair Trading make StayWell remove references to Lido Suites from its website, they did not intervene with the dispute because the matter was before the courts and StayWell did not remove references to Lido Suites from its website pending the outcome of the legal proceedings. We have settled our legal dispute on mutually acceptable terms, which involved the parties joined to the legal proceedings making a payment to Leisure Inn. LIHM have agreed to remove my property from their website. I withdraw each of the allegations which I have made about StayWell and its directors. Unfortunately, it is against Ripoff Report policy to remove posts once they have been made. I apologize for any damage caused to StayWell’s reputation.
