I responded to a mailer for a free hearing test at Sterling Hearing Care.

I was met by a man who only identified himself as Craig. (Note he was out of the building and was 45 minutes late).

He proceeded to administer the hearing test and at the end he said you need to come back for another test.

I asked him if I needed hearing aids and he said "No".

I reported back to him about a week later for the other test and when completed He advised me I needed my wife to come back. He said I needed therapy.

My wife is retiring and I told him she could not get time off. He still insisted she come back.

She came back and advised both of us I needed therapy that I was a trained lip reader.

He said you need to get therapy (still no mention of hearing aids).

He went on to say they are expensive but you need to wear them and promise me. He then said they are $5850.00

He further reported that the celia was worn away in my ears and the aids would stimulate them back gto normal or stop the deterioration before I went deaf. He further stated that failing to treat hearing loss could or would  result in Alzheimers.

After 2 weeks my ears bothered me and itched horrible. I told him this on my 4th trip and he said he had itch cream. None was offered to me however.

I called him on 11/12/15 and informed him I no longer trusted him. The Aids bothered my ears, and would like a refund. He said he would get back with me. He never did. I called 11/18/15 and requested an appt. Originally I had an appt for 11/19/15 but it was cancelled and I was not even informed. I went to his office and again I reiturated my positiion. I again asked for a refund. He said didn't Ron (owner) get hold of you? I said No. He said Ron would call and if he was in a good mood he has made concessions in the past and might give me a refund!

I realized this has become a giangantic runaround. So I called a lawyer today and was advised to go to court. contact the Attorney General's Office as well as the media and Dept of Licensing and Regulation in Michigan.

Please do not go to this establishment. All they want is you money.
