Sterling Payment Technologies My lease was supposed to be transferrable, but now there's no one to transfer too. 2 people with the company said the closing fee would be waived, but instead they pulled it from my checking account without my permission. Tampa Florida

When I signed up with Sterling I was promised that this lease was transferrable. I knew then that I might not stay in business, so I questioned them repeatedly about what I would do if I went out of business. They just kept telling me it was no problem that they would just transfer the lease. I contacted them in January 2009, and told them I was closing in May and to please transfer the lease. I called several times between January and May to make sure they were working on it. Each time I was told that they were trying to transfer the lease. When I called in May I was told that they didn't have anyone to transfer it to. I was also told by two different people that they would waive the early termination closing fee.

Instead of waiving the early termination fee, they pulled it from my checking account without my permission, causing my account to go in the negative.

Anytime I talk to them I am always told it is someone else that I need to talk to, that they can't help me.
