Steve Hochman - First Call Friendly Note Buyers Real Estate Note Purchase Rip Off Scheme - Roxbury New York
Fraud Warning: Beware Steve Hochman - First Call Friendly Note Buyers Inc. They claimed to be on the level and offered to buy my note. They paid a portion (perhaps one third) of the value of the note at closing with a promise to pay an additional 202k within one year. They also agreed, in a notarized contract, not to transfer the deed of trust until this payment was made. They assured me that the Request for Notice and associated sale agreement would be recorded along with the Assignment of the Deed of Trust.
This never happened. The Assignment was recorded without the Request for Notice and was then quickly sold over to Genesis Financial in Spokane Washington.
Interestingly the escow agent working with them, Adrianne Greeley, is also based in Spokane Washington. I have called Mr. Steve Hochman at First Call Friendly Note Buyers repeatedly and calls are never returned. I believe from reading the previous report placed here that this is a criminal pattern on the part of Mr. Hochman and he must be stopped.

Successful Law Suit. Hire an Attorney.
#2Consumer Suggestion
Mon, September 17, 2007
I would like to offer a Consumer Suggestion for those who feel that they have been a victim of fraud and or wrong doing by Mr. Hochman's Company:
First In Mr. Hochman's rebuttal, he states;
".....We have suggested that if they truely feel that they are right then they need to hire a lawyer. However no lawyer will take their cases as the documents speak for the REAL truth."
In fact, you SHOULD HIRE AN ATTORNEY, as was the case in Desert Sierra Housing LLC against First Call Friendly. They were awarded a total of $40,279.65 together with interest, costs and attorney fees. This information can be confirmed by searching the Superior Court of Arizona, Case CV 2006-070188. Do not let Mr. Hochman lead you to believe that you have no case against him.
Second, he states in his rebuttal;
"....the company reported was FIRST CALL Friendly Note Buyers a company that is out of business. Please do not mistake us ; Friendly Note Buyers with First Call Friendly Note Buyers."
It should be noted that, although the name is different, the two companies are one in the same with the same President (Mr. Hochman) and they same contact info. A search of the two names on the internet will confirm this. Coincidentally, the Better Business Bureau, which had registed complaints against them (First Call) no longer has the text of these complaints of record but it does state that complaints have been filed. In an effort to "clear their name" they simply had one company "go out of business" and started the same business under another/similar name.
Regardless of the name change, if it looks like duck, walks like a duck, and smells like a duck.......
