Check out this message in response to an add placed in a newspaper in Waynesboro VA. The seller says he is from Weymouth Mass.

I'm sending you all the pictures I have.2004 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail 3,200 miles VIN: 1HD1BWB1X4Y062857 title: Clear Engine size: 1450 cc Type: Cruiser Exterior color: Black This bike is in pristine condition. If you like the bike, I can explain how Yahoo! Finance works. Here are the transaction steps: Buyer and Seller Agree to Terms, Both parties agree to terms of the transaction, which includes a description of the merchandise, sale price, number of days for the Buyer's inspection ( 3 days ).
Buyer Pays:The Buyer submits a payment proof. Yahoo! Finance verifies the payment.
Seller Ships Merchandise Upon payment verification, the Seller is authorized to ship merchandise and submit tracking information. Yahoo! Finance verifies that the Buyer receives the shipment.
Buyer Accepts the Merchandise The Buyer has a set number of days for an inspection and the option to accept or reject the merchandise. (in this case 3 days)
Yahoo! Finance Pays the Seller
If this is ok with you please reply with your complete name, address and shipping address in your next email and let me know if you are interested in knowing more details about this purchase so that I can open a transaction case at Yahoo! Finance and move forward with this deal. You will also need to make a free Yahoo! e-mail account in order to receive the invoice.
Thank you,
Steve

This is a scam because there is no such service offered by Yahoo Finance. They may even call you or send you a link to a fake website to convince you that they are trustworthy. I have read accounts of this scam used in online autions but it looks like they have moved on to local classified ads. The fake escrow service tipped me off and I did not do a transaction with them. I have alerted the newspaper and hope none of their readers respond to this.

Too good to be true. You bet!! This bike should sell for around $10,000.00
