In September, 2011, I purchased a Dodge Durango from an auction.  After picking up the vehicle and while driving it home, it appeared to have transmission trouble.  The next day I immediately took the vehicle to Steve McCoy's Buick and Cadillac where he was supposed to be rebuilding my transmission for $2,000.  I received the truck back after about 2 weeks.  I drove the vehicle to work and discovered that it wasn't fixed after all, as I was suddently not able to reverse, and the truck was making loud noises.  I used my lunch break to take the vehicle back, and it has been there ever since.  I informed Mr. McCoy that I needed to have the vehicle back before October 28th, because I had to get the truck inspected before the 30 day tags ran out.  Not only did I not get the truck back by the deadline, but I received a ticket in the mail because my car was parked on the street with expired tags during the month of December, I still don't have the truck, and of course MVA did not grant me an extension on the temp tags.  Therefore, not only do I still not have my truck, but when and if I ever get it, I will have to have it towed to an inspection station, and pay a parking ticket on a car that I wasn't driving.  And of course I've also been paying insurance fees on a vehicle that I'm not driving.  I also got an emissions notice that expired the first week of January, so of course I had to get an extension on that.  Now i have until May to get the emissions, and the sad thing is that I doubt if the truck will be ready by then.  And just like the previous complaintant, Mr. McCoy gave me the same excuses that he gave him... someone broke in the shop and stole keys, partner has been sick, and we ordered the wrong part.  Mr. McCoy also has horrible communication skills.  The entire time the vehicle has been there, he's never dialed my number, and he only called my husband twice, and that was because he was returning his calls.  Each time my husband called him, it seems that he was just telling him anything to get him off of the phone.  I can not stress this enough..... PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO STEVE MCCOY... EVER!
