I get there and the first thing that I see is cats crawling all over the place and the door being locked with Mr. Mietelski watching me and not saying a word and dressed in torn jeans and very casually. I put my carry briefing folder down on the table and his cat stands right on top of my folder and then he finally says, please fill out this 5 page application (that I could have filled out at home before I went to the so called interview) and then he goes abouts his own businees. So I fill out the application to the best of my ability, which took about an hour.

After filling out the application, he directs me outside, in which he places his coffee cup on a sawed tree stump and promptly lights a cig. At this point, I am like, what I don't deserve any better than to stand outside of the building on the sidewalk with someone trying to administer to me an interview while drinking his coffee and smoking a cig.

Ok, so we are in this outside interview and then he is telling me that oh, you'll be making 11-13 dollars per hour, I'm going to have to drive my own car to perform the trouble tickets and while I'm at the clients locations, please sell some of our products, so that you could make a commission and that is how I am going to be paid, which is a far cry from their advertisement which clearly stated that I would be making a flat 45-70K per year. The company vehicle that they told me I would be using, turns out no one gets to use it until a year from the hire date, which is another falsified advertisement. If I knew these conditions existed, I wouldn't have wasted my time.

In a base salary that would be, say, less than minimum wage....I would say to them to stop wasting the American public's time (after paying for gas and any repairs to my vehicle). Although they said they would reimburse the gas, my confidence in that quote is strongly shaken. If there is a lawyer that wants to take this case, please e-mail me. Below is the advertisement:

Be Aware From These Computer Guys oncall258, INC (VA, DC, MD.)

If you reading this then... run miles away from ONCALL 25/8.
To start with their customer service is pathetic...
I am a former Dell technician so I know a lot abt computers...

My gateway laptop had problem with the inverter so I could not see anything on LCD display... I called these guys and fixed an appointment... they picked-up the laptop all right but once they got it - these guys weren't interested in tellin me how much it will cost to repair... i called them thrice then they told me it will cost $380/-

BS tht inverter costs around $50 anyways... Well it's ok I said return my laptop - Then these guys start to bargain... wanted to reduce 50$.... but the whole process took days - weeks (4 weeks to be precise)

Well I get to know "in fine print" tht it cost $50 for them to deliver laptop back home... $50 if U don't pick it up from their Lab within 2 weeks and if its more than 45 days then it's their property... trust me these guys will never call when you refuse to use their services....

Well it gets even worst for me- when I collected my laptop from their Lab... My laptop's LCD screen was broken - USB casing was Broken... one of the USB connector was broken and god knows what all they must have done to my laptop internally...

I am going to refer these guys to BBB.

Very UPSET...

More onCALL lies

I used to know Steve Mietelski. Maybe there are other Steve Mietelskis out there, but I am convinced this is the same person because "25/8" was part of the name he was kicking around for his future business, plus he was just as rude as described, and a smoker. I just want to point out that the craigslist ad Jonas responded to stated that this company has been operating since 2002, which is a lie.

In 2005 when we last spoke, Mr. Mietelski lived in his parents' trailer in Pennsylvania. He had a part-time job repairing computers for a larger company like Best Buy, a step above retail. He claimed he lived in D.C. before that and tried to start a business after he dropped out of college, but unsurprisingly ran out of money and had to move back home. Maybe he fixed a friend's computer or two, but in no way has onCALL 25/8 been a legally recognized business for six years, and certainly not in Alexandria, VA.
