Steve's ATV Rental scams its customers by renting unsafe, old, damaged and neglected equipment in hopes that it breaks down. They then charge you 300% above the actual cost of parts and labor to fix.

We rented 2 UTV Razors on January 6, 2017 for 4 hours. One of them overheated and broke down with over an hour left on time. We had to assist tow into their shop and they gave no refund for the lost time. We were out 2 hours for rentals.

The following day we rented 2 UTV Razors for 8 hours. They showed up an hour late for our rental but still charged for 8 hours not 7. One of the UTV encountered a tire blowout due to old cracked tires. Luckily nobody was seriuosly injured or killed. It took them an hour and 1/2 to come out and fix it. Upon retun of vehicle, I was informed that they were going to charge me $225 + tax for new tire even though we lost 2 hours of driving time due to their neglegence. Lastly, they charged my credit card $363.70 and sent no explaination of charges. I attempted to contact the owners but they hide behind their employess and managment.

If you are thinking about renting from this company make sure you read their contact with an attorney present. If you are thinking about renting a vehicle with your children, DO NOT DO IT! Their equipment is unsafe and someone could get seriously injured and they are not liable.

Obvioulsy you work for the comapny or you are the owner. Perhaps you didnt read the part where the first vehicle over heated and broke down and no refund given. How is this MY fault?

Secondly, you  didn't veiw the photos well as you can see cracks all aound the side wall. Perhaps a rock was hit but normal tires without excessive wear would hold up to a rock. That is what they are designed for.

Lastly, they charged my credit card $363.70 not $225+tax. NO EXPLAINATION!

It looks like from YOUR photos that YOU hit a rock or something on the SIDE of the tire. THAT is NOT thier fault. THAT came from YOU or YOUR PARTY riding them. Sorry to say this but YOU KNOW that when YOU rent ANY vehicle YOU are responsible for ANYTHING that happens to the vehicle. This is common knowledge. What I feel it REALLY boils down to is the contract that YOU SIGNED without READING! ALL of the appropriate costs are disclosed in the contract, including what YOUR responsibilities are. So if YOU signed it and didnt read it YOU are NOT informed. THIS tends to be the case more often then not. YOU were in such a hurry that YOU didnt bother reading WHAT you were agreeing to. Then when the costs start showing up, YOU claim its a ripoff BECAUSE you didnt bother to FULLY read what YOU were signing. I do agree however that them arriving an hour late SHOULD have gotten you a discount of some sort. You SHOULD have only been charged for the 7 hours YOU had the vehicles in YOUR possesion.
