Steve B. Arnold Born Dec. 4, 1969 AGE: 34 last seen in Clinton, TN. Living in South Clinton with his fiance' April at a friends home. Previous addresses Dayton, TN., Kingston, TN. with parents.

Steve doesn't work and is addicted to narcotics. He has been in rehab 2 times over the past year and a half and refuses now to work or pay his required child support. Our 2 children have been without health/dental insurance since last May (03). The kids wonder where their father is and why he doesn't call or get them for visitation anymore, it's been over a year since he has had "regular visitation". He says I won't let him see the kids but Steve proves himself time and time again to be addicted to drugs or living in unhealthy, bad situations. I will not expose our children to any thing further that is harmful and if that means denying him visitation, then so be it, he's "denied" like our children have been.

Steve is an excellent mechanic (when functioning sober) and has specialized in Toyota for over 13 years. He also had a brief stint at Lexus of Knoxville but was fired after failing to appear for work.

We have been to court in Anderson Co. once last year and once this year, in May 04' Steve was working and agreed to increase his child support by $100 per month voluntarily to avoid jail time, (an increase to $650 per month)and aprox. one week after his "promises to keep his job and pay arrears" he quit his job or was fired. His parents (the childrens Grandparents) support Steve's decision to not work and/or take care of his children. They say he has to pay too much child support and he can't live on what is left. Poor Steve. We really feel for his plight. I have NO idea what that's like... by the way the Grandparents never see the kids or call either, Grandfather is a Baptist Preacher.

Steve we know your out there, and someone is watching you. You will pay for what you are doing to you're children, one day. What comes around goes around and is coming around to YOU soon. See you in court.

went to court Steve failed to show as I was sure he wouldn't

We went to court, well I did anyways. Steve failed to show as I was sure he would'nt. A attachment order was signed by the Judge, $2500. bond. WOW he has to only pay $250.00 to post bond for another court date. This will never end. I'll never get another penny of support for our children.

Steve's sister called me last weekend and verified that Steve does indeed have Hep. C. My son heard the converstion and had no reaction to the news. Not sure where to go from here. I just hope that he makes peace with the kids before its too late. He hasn't bothered to call or anything. He knows my cell phone #, it's been the same for 3 years.

I will pray for everyone involved, especially the children. They are ultimately the ones who will suffer. God Bless.

Whereabouts known, court date has been set

Well apparently it's about to come around next friday. The court date has been set, although I have serious doubts that he will show for it.

We found him (by pure luck). I drove by the home where we lived while we were married and low and behold there he was - cutting the lawn! He and the girlfriend/fiance have "rented" that house, now all they need is a way to pay for it....

Our son (13) saw his father for the first time since April. He looked shocked and amazed to see us standing in the yard. He literally looked as if he might cry. Then he came up to us and hugged my son. I asked if he would be getting a job since he hasn't worked since May and he disclosed that he is very sick, he says he has cirrohsis of the liver and hepetitis C and soon will be getting disablity. Hmmm. Sounds like a pity ploy to me (we've seen this in the past, just not to this magnetude) he says if he takes care of himself he may live 5 years.

I can't help but feel sorry for him if it is true. He has fooled me in the past with faked surgeries and crazy problems that are indicitive of a drug addict. He then asked if the kids could come and see him some to which I had to reply.. "no". Hepetitis C is something I can't risk my children being exposed to and possibly catching.

If he wants his visitaion, I suppose he can show up to court and demand it. He hasn't had any contact with the kids so I don't think he really wants them to be a part of his life...

Good luck & God Bless all the children...
