I hired him in to represent me for a hearing in Massachusetts on a contemp charge as i now live in Florida. He Said he would Call then and take cae of it. I gave him the money on a friday and he was suppose to call the court and give them the info to reschedule.Well wouldnt you now it he called me at 5:30 on a friday and told me he didnt get anyone and i would have to call on Monday as he was going on vacation. He took approx 3 weeks off and a warrant was issued. when he finally got back he was going to take care of that also, but never did. He called my X for information ( whats with that)  dont know how he got it, certainly not from me. He has basically called me a liar and never called the courts as i checked many times.

He never wanted to hear what i had to say, was constantly talking over me and we got into yelling matches at my work so i refused to talk to him anymore. I do have all the documentationin emails form that i would like to show the BAR. I definately want to file a formal complaint. Then to top it off he has a U Tube vidio called Why people hate lawyers, so i made a comment that one of them fit him to a T and he posted info about my case on the internet.. Finally in Novenber of 2016 when i didnt respond to his emails asking me to sign things that should have been done in the beginning,i had lost all trust in him and wanted nothing to do with this guy. He told me he was closing the case and i didnt respont and i take this loss as a learning experience and will never hire from the internet again..

"Barry" as he shall be known is a seemingly nice man who had a bit of a problem in Massachusetts - his ex wife alleged nonpayment of a financial obligation as a result of a divorce.  Called on a Friday about a hearing 3 days later.  Told him was going on vacation - no way to be in court but woud try to make call court to see about resetting and if not successful that he would need to call in to court at the designated time and to tell the judge "A.B.C. and D."  Needless to say, Barry did not follow intructions.  A capias (an arrest warrant of sorts) was issued< i returned from vacation and was able to spend the necessary time tofigure out why Barry was in this situaiton.  Well sir,  as it turns out, Barry failed to fully disclose the true extent of his problem and denied ever knowing about it, despite notices being sent to him by his ex and her lawyer.  The fix for Barry was simple - pay the money you owe.  Nope, not Barry.  Didn;t want to hear of it. Was incensed that his lawyer would callthe other side to fill in the blanks and try to get a matter resolved for him.    Barry asked his lawyer to violate ethics rules by not contecting the other side, not trying to rsolve a case and not letting them know we would need to go to court if we could not resolve:  Victim mentality.  Not taking responsibility.  Settlement was a check away but Barry wanted to fight, argue and go to court to see the judge.  The necessary papers were prepared, sent to Barry to be signed and ... no Barry.  Here's the bottom line - clients hire lawyers to solve problems. Tell us the facts, all the facts, and we can help.  Tell us less than the truth and the problem becomes harder to solve - takes more time to figure out the truth. Try to get a lawyer to violate ethical rules - not a good idea.  Barry's situation is rare.  The one person you should always tell the truth to is the person trying to help you solve a problem - your lawyer.  Barry's case was simple to solve.  Like the saying goes - you can bring a horse to the water but you can't make him drink.
