Complaint Review: stevens worldwide vanlines

Stevens Van lines moved my stuff from  Aurora, IL   to Dallas Texas. My stuff was packed into a large truck and there was some left over stuff that did not fit into the large Truck and so they packed them into 2 large crates and were shipped separately. The stuff that was packed in to separate crates, was crammed in and most of the stuff that came in those crates got damaged. I can understand accidents happen but this case, whoever packed it had reckless disregard for their job and my stuff. The broke my accent tree purposely  so that it will fit in the crate. The  branches are symmetrically broken at a length which is unlikely to happen in transit. Whoever packed it also packed a lot of packing materials which were on a packing supplies truck which came to my house on the moving day. The crate contained a moving  dolly, some kind of ramp like thing from the truck, Several moving rugs and several vinyl packing materials . Both the drivers who came to my house have stated that the packers did a poor job. The most expensive item they broke was the table top which is part of a large set and cannot be replaced because of the matching art work on the table and chairs.

After filing a Cliam with Stevens they pretty much payed 5 cents for every doller lost! they Deny every Claim on one pretex or another!Please do not hire this company or any local agent that will use this company!
