I agree with the other posters. This is a con job.

My name was on stinkylist.com even though I don't live in a city with escorts nor have I ever enganged the services of one. They have some of my contact information correct and some completely wrong. I imagine they found the correct info from a social media site and fabricated the rest.

My attempts to contact them are ignored. My lawyer told me this is actually a growing Internet scam and nothing can be done short of a major investigation that I could probably afford but not sure its worth it. He has written the FBI on my behalf and sent an email letter as well but it has not done any good so far.

Here are some obvious signs this is a blackmail scam:

1. Stinkylist.com says the site is powerd by WordPress--it is not. SCAM It is from an out-of-country--most likely Malaysia, the capital of Internet scams.

2. This site has not been updated with any new reports from so-called escorts since it went live several months ago--SCAM.

3. Stinkylist refers to you "PhoenixInvestigation.com" to get your name removed for as much as $1150. This company is listed as a scam on several websites. It features real news articles that lead you to believe they were involved in the cases--they are not. They say they have been removing names for years yet their site is only a few months old. Even the pics of the so-called employees don't match from page to page on this site. Obvious scam as stinkylist.org and phoenixinvestigation are in completel cahoots.

I am not sure if the FBI can or will stop this scam. I know other posters are suggesting people report this to the FBI IC3 Cyberdivision but not sure it will work. Guess it's worth a try. I just hope no fool actually pays the fee because I imagine once they know you'll play their game--they'll keep finding ways to gouge you! BEWARE! If people don't pay, the individuals who run this scam will have to find another trick to con people out of money.
