Stonebridge required a $17,000 deposit to deliver a detailed proposal and provide design services to remodel a game room and fire pit. The design services were never provided and numerous commitments to deliver the proposal were broken without any notice. The "proposal" (term used VERY loosely) was received over 3 weeks late and only after constant demands.  It was extremely brief, grossly inadequate, lacked the full scope of work and contained NONE of the detailed line by line labor and material costs that were requested and Stonebridge committed to deliver. This "proposal" was exceedingly vague and left everything up to interpretation as to what was actually included.  This left everything subject to cost overruns and there was no mention of a timeline whatsoever.  We asked many times for a more detailed estimate and these requests were denied.

Several demands for a full refund were refused and instead Stonebridge was requiring us to sign a gag order to obtain a partial refund.  They also deliberately lied to us regarding their non-use of any subcontractors stating all personnel were Stonebridge employees which required no lien waivers.  This was one of the main reasons we signed the contract. Their proposed gag order listed 16 subcontracting companies that Stonebridge was requiring us to avoid contact with for 18 months.  We refused to sign this ridiculous form.  Not one penny of our deposit has been returned, no design services were ever provided and no work at all has been done.

They deliberately, willfully and repeatedly misrepresented their services, charged a required deposit for an estimate (which we since learned no one should do), broke numerous commitments and refused to communicate on many occasions.  We had appointments that they did not show up for or call to reschedule.  We since learned that one of our neighbors recently used Stonebridge.  Their 2 month project took 10 months to complete and incurred more than 50% cost overruns.  An overabundance of materials were purchased, could not be returned and 4 palates of it were abandoned in their driveway.

Stay away from Stonebridge at any cost!!!
