Stonehendge Showers is the same as ForeverBaths. Appently they have changed their name recently. This is the same company. Here is a sequence of events that has happened in my house for the last year.
Here is a chronicle order of events as we remember them.
Signed contract with Forever Baths on 05-4-13, when contract was signed we gave Forever Baths and initial deposit check of $2329.00
- At initial signing of contract we selected the fixtures and the vessel sinks.
- Jeff from Forever Baths asked us to drive to Stafford and pick out the granite from Natural Stone Gallery, which we did on May 11th, 2013
- Rusty (the plumber for Forever Baths), came by my house to pick up a second check on 06-20-13 in the amount of $3000.00
- On Sept. 19th, 2013 Construction started and also wrote a 3rd installment payment of $6000.00
- Construction proceeded on and off until Oct. 18 th 2013.
- On Oct. 18th, 2013, there was meeting with a stone expert (Tommy Schlitzberger ((owner of Schlitzberger stone)) and Mike with Forever Baths) about wall being built approximately 4” into the window in the shower.
- Forever Baths stayed away from our house for approximately 2 weeks trying to decide how to correct the wall being built 4” into the window
- On Nov. 11th the contractor stated that he was very busy and that his granite person would not be available for 2 to 4 weeks to install granite. My husband and I became very upset since they have been doing construction in our house since Sept. 19th and still we had no granite. That is when my husband called Mike with ForeverBaths and terminated our contract.
- On Nov 12th 2013 Jeff from Forever Baths texted called my husband myself and set up an appointment to come to the house to review the work
- Jeff from Forever Bath’s came to our house on the evening of Nov. 12th 2013 to review remaining work and look at what work needed to be reworked. We told him that he could come back and finish the work and payment would be contingent on a Texas Inspector passing all of this work
- On Nov. 14th 2013 told Jeff from Forever Bath’s that the sinks that he ordered were incorrect (attaching emails from myself to Jeff)
- On Nov. 19th 2013 we reselected the granite (for a 2nd time) because there was a mix up between the granite yard and Forever Baths per Mike from Forever Baths.
- On Nov. 18th we had to reselect Faucets and sinks because Forever Baths ordered incorrectly ( have text confirming that date)
- Sent a text on Nov. 19th asking when Jeff would be back out to complete work, was told that he was waiting on deliver of sinks and did not know when he would be back out (have text confirming that conversation)
- Sent text on Nov. 26th asking when Jeff would be back out to complete work, no response from Jeff (have text confirming that)
- Sent text on Dec. 2nd asking when Jeff would be back out to complete work, he responded that he would be back out on Wed. (which was Dec. 4th)
- Sent a text on Dec. 4th asking if he was still coming out and he responded with a yes, told him we put dogs up and asked what time he would be there? Responded at 1:06PM waiting on fixtures to be delivered and if not delivered by 2:00 PM will come the next to install granite and fixtures
- Dec. 5th came to house late in the afternoon sometime after 2:00 PM and installed granite, sinks and fixtures.
- On Dec. 14th sent Jeff from Forever Baths a text letting him know that the granite on the glass base was cracked, he responded with a text telling me that he was out of town and would get with me on Monday Dec. 16th to discuss
- Sent me a text telling me that the crack in the granite was just a seam that cracked open (have text showing conversation), I responded with picture of the zig zag crack (which was not a seam)
- Inspector Bob Lovelace inspected bathroom on Dec. 20th, 2013 and provided report on Jan. 4th, 2014 ( report attached for review)
- On Dec. 18th 2013, Jeff sent a text asking to finish the bathroom on Friday Dec. 20th, but I had the flu so we told him no by text (have text support this)
- Monday, Dec. 23rd 2013 received text from Jeff telling us that glass was supposed to be installed today but glass distributor inexplicably is closed but he was still coming out to finish drains on sinks (that text was sent at 1:03 PM), My husband and I were out running errand when we received that text about 15 minutes later showed up at our house and in front of our was the glass person ready to install glass shower. He could not do that because of the crack in the granite so we tried to call Jeff sever times and finally sent him a text telling him that the glass person was at our house waiting on him to repair the granite. The glass person said that he couldn’t wait any longer and told us to call him when the granite got repaired and he would come and install glass
- Jeff and Rusty (Jeff’s plumber) showed up around 4:00PM and stayed to approximately 7:00 PM to install drains on sinks and fix crack in granite and do some minor outstanding work
- Glass was installed on Dec. 26th
- Jeff from Forever Bath’s started reconstruction on week of Dec. 4th 2013. Contractor time that he worked was very sporadic we never knew when he was coming or going sometimes he would come for an hour than leave. Contractors work schedule and communication of when work is going to be done is about same quality that was performed on bathroom. Quality of craftsmanship is so great that shower has leaked onto the floor twice.
- As of this date, Jan. 14th, 2014 the bathroom is still not complete. The cabinet is not installed and the shower drain needs to be resolved
- The cabinet was installed some time in the beginning of Feb. 2014 (not sure of exact date)
- On Feb. 1st and 2nd 2014 Forever Bath completed most of the items on the punch list (that the Qualified Texas Inspector found) minus the drain situation
- As of right now, Sept. 8th, 204 the drain in still backing up onto my bathroom floor.
- Had to have anothe inspector come in and right a report on how to fix the floor (basically they are saying that the whole floor needs to be ripped out and repoured and drain needs to be reinstalled correctly.
- The contractor is threatening a lien against the house if we don't pay him at least half of what we owe him.
- Have to have a meditation meeting with BBB and contractor to find out if and how they are going to correct the problem.
Please don't use this contractor!!!!!
