I, like many others attended the 90 minute session with invitation to attend a full day seminar.

I attended the full day seminar and one of the problems I had, other than pressure to sign up on the same day, was that I was given information that appears to be incorrect for the Credti Card processing facility.

It seems that the facility requires me to have a US bank account or suffer a fee of $US25 per transaction. It was also never made clear that transactions would only be processed for amounts equal to or greater than $US250. This concern led me to do further investigation and thus I come across this website.

It is essential that the credit card processing facility operate effectively and within a reasonable fee schedule. I was not happy about a 5% fee on each transaction, but there is nothing compared to the overall problems that seem to be apparent due to the fact that I don't have any kind of US bank account for the funds to be transferred into.

It looks like I assumed incorrectly that as the product is being 'sold' in the Australian marketplace, that the facility would be fit for use by an Australian business -- even if they did not produce large income from the venture.

I will most definitely be seeking to have my contract revoked.

Note that there is at least one other event coming up that I am aware of for the same full day training session.

There is a planned session on the 2nd June at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre (cnr of Flinders and Spencer Streets, MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA). I am aware of this because that was the day that I was due to attend, but I stated at the time that I could not attend on that day and I was able to have the day changed to the 1st for my training session. Consequently I attended on the 1st.

Please can someone let me know how I can be a part of action to assist in stopping others from entering into any arrangment with this company as blindly as I had done so. Is there already printed pammphlets / brochures available to hand out at the Melbourne site on the 2nd of June?

Handout Government Warnings

#2Consumer Suggestion

Wed, June 01, 2005

Andrew:

I would visit the government websites for DOCEP Western Australia, the Office of Fair Trading ACT (Canberra), and Consumer Online New Zealand.

All of these sites have specific (and recent)warnings against doing business with Storesonline and would make rather nice handouts. DOCEP is currently investigating this outfit.

A quick visit to Google or Yahoo news will reveal warnings published by several major Australian newspapers and include references to the Australian gov't investigations.

Contact your local office of Fair Trading or ACCC if you meet resistance as you seek your refund (simply threatening to do so in a written format may help you get your refund quickly).

Best of luck to you.
