Storesonline.com ripoff BEWARE AUSTRALIA They have brought their seminar road train Down Under and are ripping us off now Australia Internet
storesonline.com are target mailing Australian addresses and holding their BS Seminars in Australia. A friend attended one in Brisbane and the asking price is $5,995 for what they provide, ie nothing. He was ready to sign up after deliberating on the day of the seminar but wanted to think about it a bit more so I wrote down the address of this site and suggested he may like to do a search for storesonline.com. So thank you once again Rip Off Report you have managed to keep another 6 grand out of these scammers pockets and hopefully by this post a lot more.
We are fortunate in Australia because the rip off merchants seem to work their scams in the US first before trying it on we Aussies. ripoffreport.com warns us of what is happening and lets us know which 'snakeoil' hustlers to avoid. Storesonline.com beware of Australian Law - our legislators have allowed our law enforcement agencies real teeth when dealing with rip off merchants. Serious jail time and monetary penalties are involved and we have an extradition treaty with the USA.
Deliver what my countrymen and women have paid for or pack your toothbrushes and get used to community showering. You can run but you can't hide. We consider American citizens to be our friends and allies and love to see you holiday in Australia but we wouldn't be at all offended if you kept the likes of storesonline.com to yourselves. Kind Regards Wally Caloundra

State Offices of Fair Trading for Australia
#3Consumer Suggestion
Mon, February 07, 2005
If you have complaints, you need to take them to the ACCC and/or local state offices for fair trading.
Australia's ACCC is promoting February 2005 as Scams Awareness Month (ScAM).

If you receive material that you think is dodgy, or have complaints about a business you have dealt with, then you need to approach your local state office for fair trading. These can be found on the ACCC website:
http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/325459/fromItemId/274365
I received material from StoresOnline, and upon research, decided that they were most likely an evil scam and sent my information to my local state office for fair trading.
I hope more people do the same.

I am a American citizen who is outraged at the business practices of Storesonline's parent company, Imergent. This company plans to rake in $100,000,000 (US) by selling inferior products and services to uninformed consumers at extremely high prices. They will finance a lot of this through loans to folks with marginal credit (at 18% interest). Almost half of these loans go bad, but not before Imergent ruins the credit and esteem of their victims.
One of the hardest things to find out about this company is where they'll be next. If you have this information, please contact:
Australian Government
Attorney-General's Department
Central Office
Robert Garran Offices
National Circuit
BARTON ACT 2600
Tel: (02) 6250 6666
Fax: (02) 6250 5900
Tell them you're being proactive. Storeonline is currently being investigated in the U.S. by the F.T.C., has been banned from doing business in Maine and Washington, and fined in several other states. They have been the subject of numerous television and newspaper expose's. They feel a sense of immunity overseas since the pressure is on here. MAKE THEM FEEL UNWELCOME.
Refer to my previous posts for interesting links and Google search terms that will enlighten you further.
I've never been to Australia, but would like to visit someday, and be welcomed as an American. This behavior is outrageous and needs to be stopped.
There are many reputable companies which can help you succeed as an online merchant, but this is certainly NOT one of them!
