My partner and I recently purchased six websites through StoresOnline after attending their seminar and workshop. We were told by an associate and the instructor of the workshop that we did not need to have a product ready to sell. They assured us they would help us to get set up with joint ventures. They failed to tell us we would have to pay for this help. We watched their videos, went through the guided tour in our getting started packet.

After completing the guided tour we still had no idea where to begin. We contacted customer service via e-mail explaining our problem. We have gotten no satisfaction. All we get is the runaround. Their "getting started packet" is a joke. It explains nothing. They talk a good game but they don't play fair. Anyone thinking of purchasing their websites, please don't. You will regret it. I know I do. A lesson learned. Jean Carrolltown, Pennsylvania

Storesonline Additonal Fees

#3Consumer Comment

Rebecca - I can't believe you disagree with Jean. Storesonlines misleads you into believing that they will help you find products, build the websites for you and hold your hand through the whole process. That why you spend $6,000 for websites. They don't tell you about the additional, costly fees they charge to have them build the website for you, the software is impossible for you to do it yourself, tutorials that you cannot download, useless training material, the program they offer to help find products is not what they promised (the companies are for warehouse wholesalers), and the Customer Service Reps are inexperienced and rude which you need to renew after a year for another additional cost.

Storesonline websites are overpriced and built poorly. They are targeting a market of people they shouldn't be targeting. They are sales predators!

Storesonline not a ripoff to me

I attended a StoresOnline seminar over a year ago and 'bought into' their program, just as you did. I was not aware of any 'tactics' employed during the seminar to get me to buy, and at no time since then have I felt 'ripped off'.

I also purchased 6 websites. I only have one completed and online at this time. It takes some thought and research to come up with ideas, but there are plenty out there for the taking. I have been able to come up ideas for three more sites thus far, and plan to start developing the next website soon.

You can not expect them to come up with ideas for you. As far as where to begin, once you have an idea and found suppliers for your products, StoresOnline is there to do all the programming for you if you dont know how.

If you check out ((( website redacted by ROR))), you will see that it is well designed and open for business. I have had sales- not a lot yet because I have not had the time to market it properly- but I am confident in its potential.

I knew it wouldnt be easy- no worthy endeavor is-but StoresOnline has always been available for support with programming issues and questions I needed answers to. They provided programming talents and customer service and delivered everything they promised.

I never watched the video, so I do not know how helpful or unhelpful it was, but I do not believe it is fair to dubb an enterprise a 'rip off' just because it did not succeed.

I do not regret this move. For years I have wanted to start an online business but didnt know where to start. Storesonline gave me the direction and means to reach this goal.
