I started ISDN service with Straight2you in April. My monthly service was $39.95 which was confirmed in an email statement sent to me. On April 11, I was charged $130 (a yearly ISDN fee). On May 1, I was once again charged $130 (yearly fee).

When speaking to Anthony directly and others they assured me that the credit of $260 had been placed. When asked again, they mentioned it may take one to two billing cycles.

In June, July, August and September I was charged $49.95 per month. When pointing out the monthly rate I signed up for was $39.95, they claimed they had adjusted the rate to $39.95.

This didn't happen. On 10/8 they claimed that on three occasions this month, their billing system had been triggered by a flaw in Microsoft's Internet Explorer, and that the refund will be issued wihtin 7 days. On 9/28, 10/2 and 10/14, $49.95 was charged on each occasion. When speaking to them again, the refund was supposed to be issued by Friday 10/31 or latest Tuesday 11/4. It appears these "refunds" have arrived, not as refunds, but as two more monthly charges.

Since the mail was on vacation hold until 12/2/03, it must have been someone at the post office that cashed it then. However it will be very easy to verify if this was the case, or if this is just another "little situation."

Please send me the front and back copy of the check, and we can verify exactly who endorsed the check and which bank the check was deposited into. You may also email me the pertinent information so we can verify what happened, and for your credibility's sake you may also update this report with the bank name where the check was deposited into.

No more refunds - just empty promises

There have been no more refunds since last time. I spoke to Anthony numerous times, and first he was instructed by the bank to refund the amount to the credit card. Then, Anthony said that a check was sent to me on Thursday 11/20 or Friday 11/21. Still nothing has arrived.

The net total is that Straight2you has refunded me one incorrect monthly charge. The rest have been empty promises, from April 28 and onward. Straight2you has overcharged me a total of $300.05, and that is not a "little situation", nor is it resolved.

Anthony may have fired 90% of the staff, but until they are able to address and resolve these issues, they are still providing "bad customer support", and leave us no choice but to continue the process, to prevent them from ripping off new potential customers, and to stop them from conducting fraudulent business in the states they serve.

After cancellation of service, I was charged two additional charges. However, those were refunded back to me. Additionally, one incorrect monthly charge was refunded.

After speaking with Anthony, I am hopeful that we will be able to resolve the remaining major billing issues in a satisfactory way.

After your conversations with Dave both today and yesterday, and after being provided with receipts showing the transactions were refunded, I hope this resolves our little situation.

I do appologize that this happened. Be aware that we are no longer outsourcing our billing systems. Since they are in house now, an error such as this has not occured.

Come on back and try us again, no charge for the 1st 2 months.
