Three quarters of my family decided to migrate from Net10 to Straight Talk for their cell phone needs a few months ago. My husband and older daughter got flip phones and my younger daughter got a slider phone. All phones and time cards were purchased at Walmart. Last night, my older daughter wanted to get one of the slider phones for herself. She went to Walmart, bought the phone and then called Straight Talk customer service to get the time that she had just purchased on the 11th of this month transferred to her new phone. Walmart lost a $100 sale when they had to refund her money for the new phone after she was told by Straight Talk customer service that she would have to purchase a new time card because her old one couldn't be transferred. Straight talk is going to lose $135 dollars a month from here on out because the aforementioned three quarters of my family are leaving the dark side of Straight Talk and coming back into the light of Net10 with me as soon as the minutes they have are done. I understand Net10 isn't perfect, but when I buy a new phone, they transfer my remaining minutes and phone number over to the new one with no hassle. Forget Straight Talk. Who needs that kind of nonsense?
