    Complaint Type: Wireless Complaint
Description of Complaint: i bought a 30 day unlimited voice data and internet service plan from straighttalk wirless, which i have been doing for the past five years. three days after i purchased this service, after making a total of five phone calls and listeniing to an hour off music a day and downloading a few google play apps, a pop up came on stating that i was reaching my data limit. four days later i was unable to visit the internet, use apps orlisten to music, internet and data were useless.i contacted straight talk six times including the corporate office, what follows is the response i received complete with summerized dialog:

me: i have no internet service, phone calls are choppy and cant use appsst: it says here that you have reached your data limitme: i paid for the unlimited planst:yes it is unlimited but we have throttled your usage:the plan is advirtized as unlimited voice data and internet, but i can no longer use the internet or data, also your advert when phoning says unlimited data voice and internet also, i beleive this to be fraudulent advertising.st: yes you have unlimited internet and voice but we have cut your data usage.me:well i have NO IINTERNET or data usage, at the least your adverts are false and/or misleadingst:you have unlimited voice internet and datame: i have no internet or data due to the company you represent cutting the data usage to my straight talk cell phone........and the conversation went round and round in this manner.the end line is i live remotely and rely explicitly on my cell phone especially as i have children.this company advirtisez unlimmited everything as it has always been thru my 5 years of usage, they are making policy changes due to a contract with other companies to limit data due to tethering. this may line their pockets but it is taking away from the people and is causing them to fromote fraudulant advertising, soon all companies will make a play on words and make up whatever conditions they like to make an extra mill or ill...this needs to stop..

also they do not disclose AT ALL the fact that they will not replace a malfunctioning phone unless you a two phones, you must call from a different phone other than the mafunctioning one before they will replace it as for me this is impossible as i bought one not two , understanding that if it malfunctioned it would be replaced...this is false advirtisement as they will not replace phone unless you have access to another one
