Beware of straight2you.net.
I signed up for Internet service with Straight2you.net, (Anthony Cundiff president) on 6/20/03. I used my debit card for payment. All was fine until 9/29/03 when billing errors began to occur. I contacted the company via email & they said, & I quote: On 3 separate occasions this month, our billing systems have been triggered by a flaw in Microsoft's Internet Explorer. I accepted that & patiently waited for a refund. They owed me $39 for three errant $13 billings, not that big of a deal. I received one refund on 10/23, & another on 11/13.

I did cancel service on 10/31, a fact straight2you reps were not willing to accept even though I had a cancellation number. Erik, the first rep I spoke to, no longer worked there at this point. I only needed one more $13 refund to be through with straight2you. However, withdrawals from my bank account kept appearing on my bank statement after I cancelled. Three billings came from Canoga, CA & two more dated 12/31/03 from Oakland, FL. The Oakland w/d's included one for $49.95 & one Canoga refund for $13 was placed into my account Keep in mind I am sending emails and/or calling on the phone to get this resolved. Straight2you never once disputed the fact they owed me money until Anthony Cundiff called me on the phone, after I called him a scumbag in an email. I resorted to name calling because the Oakland w/d's sent my account into a negative balance.

The bank & people I tried to pay legitimately during Straight2you's shenanigans don't find this very amusing & the monetary consequences are quite high these days. I have since cancelled my card. The facts of this fiasco are: I have been billed $202.95 for $62 worth of service by straight2you. On 12/31/03 they finally deducted enough money to send my checking account into a NSF state. Anthony Cundiff says all the emails they(he) tried to send to my knew address are undeliverable. Anthony Cundiff says he will send me a check for the refunds owed plus NSF fees, a $281.95 total & rising as long as it doesn't get paid. Anthony asked for proof to be faxed from my bank, a fact the teller found amusing seeing $60 worth of NSF charges was assessed by straight2you itself.

Guess what? I've faxed the info three times but each time I inquire, straight2you says they are not arriving. The last email I received from Anthony Cundiff reads: Matt, Do you think I have time to play games with you? I absolutely DO NOT. I never got a fax from anybody. Once more, have them refax it.
I comply with Anthony's wishes, the straight2you reps lie and/or seem confused, faxes don't arrive, emails are undeliverable; billings from CA & FL appear, a rep quits, when I call about the refunds reps pause a moment to pretend they are typing away the orders to send a refund to my account- the old checks in the mail tactic, & A flaw in Microsoft's Internet Explorer? A game? Anthony Cundiff called it that, I didn't.

I mailed the info via regular postal mail on 1/22/04, but I'm sure aliens will abduct the mailman. This ISP should be called straightfromhell.net. I would have stayed with this service if the original problems were taken care of diligently, and I will withdraw all complaints if straight2you & Anthony comply with my wishes for a change, including paying ALL charges that occur.

All is good and back to normal. Anthony wired me the entire amount of the overcharges and my bank withdrew overdraft fees. I hope Anthony and straight2you can iron out any remaining bumps and can get on to providing a quality Internet service to customers. Thanks -Matt

I just received the following email from straight2you which I believe helps prove my case to some extent-

FROM:

TO:
SUBJECT: Your Credit Card is about to expire

Dear Matthew

According to our records, your credit card (last 4 digits = xxxx) is due to expire at the end of February 2004.
Please email or call us with the new expiration date.

Thank you.

Why else would they need that info unless I was still being billed for a service I cancelled back in Oct?
