In May 2008 I contacted VendorSeek.com for quotes from telemarketing companies. They referred 3 companies and Strategic Marketing was one of them. A man by the name of Darren Paulson contacted me from Strategic Marketing and discussed marketing my book. He offered 30 hours of telemarketing services and a lead list for $998. He sent me some forms and I sent the forms back by Fed Ex to this Scottsdale, Arizona address with the $998 check. I then received an email about a Sales Process from a Meredith Leigh. I emailed the questionnaire back. This was all done the first week of May.

It is now July 10, 2008 and I haven't seen or heard anything from this company. I have made numerous phone calls and email attempts with no response. At this point I knew I had been scammed. I went to the Strategic Marketing website again and filled out a new request for information pretending to be a new customer to see if I would get a response. I would say within 10 minutes I received a phone call from Darren Paulson trying to do business with a new customer. I told him who I was and asked about my money. He stated that his company was short staffed and he would work on this issue immediately. Of course I never heard from him again.

I contacted VendorSeek about the matter letting them know that they referred a scam artist to me and asked for assistance. VendorSeek states that they can't help in the matter and they have removed this company from their network. I feel VendorSeek is responsible because they advertised that they thoroughly researched these companies that they are referring to consumers. Now their clause may state that they are not responsible for a company's performance but nothing about a non-existent company that is a scam.

VendorSeek refuses to help in the matter. I advise consumers to stay clear of VendorSeek.com and Strategic Marketing - Darren Paulson. I would like to investigate this matter and sue Strategic Marketing and VendorSeek, so please contact me.
