Complaint Review: streaming flix llc

This company uses another party (hold billing services) to bill your phone comany for their services..Unless you told your phone company (mine is verizon) to block all third party billing to your phone, you have the possibility of being scammed by them..

It took 2 hours to undo the billing of an imaginary internet signup to streaming flix for 14.95 a month.  Verizon was sympathetic but told me to get in touch with Hold billing services, who in turn had me get in touch with Streaming flix to dispute the matter..Streaming flix said we had signed up for their service, and they said they had the page from the web which included the last 4 numbers of my social..When I asked for the last 4 to verify it, he said they could credit the 2 month charge back to me..I agreed, and he said it would take 2 billing cycles..

Now verizon is not completely off the hook here, I suspect they are getting money from (Hold Billing Services) to charge me through my phone bill.  I have been a customer for a long time with them..pay my bill through automatic on line payments for their service..why would they want to jepordize losing a good customer by allowing a known fraud to bill me for their service?

Back in 2009one of these companies (hold or flix) paid huge fines to the ftc and had injunctions on them..so it is known to them of the problem..

To protect yourself, call your phone company and have them block all 3rd party billing.  Then verify it the next day.  Hold billing services also bill for several other third party sellers, not just streaming flix..Especially check if you have online automatic billing, because it can get away from you if you dont look at your online bill carefully..
