Complaint Review: StubHub.com

 I recently purchased tickets to an NHL hockey game through stubhub. After paying for the tickets and receiving them through UPS, I was informed by stubhub that they were revoking my tickets because they were double sold. I paid almost $400 for these tickets, and had already received them. The stubhub agent that called me at work a week after I received the tickets told me that they were giving me comparable seats and waiving the sales fee. I was told that these were the only tickets available. They lied. I found out when I got home from work and looked the seats up on the internet that they sold me seats that were in no way comparable to what I had paid for.

I made two attempts to get this problem resolved by stub hub agents, and was told that since i had accepted the bad deal that they gave me, that there was nothing that they could do to fix the problem that they created. I argued my point very calmly with both agents, who by the way stated that they agreed that I was not being treated fairly, but said that their supervisor would not allow them to change anything other than to waive the sales fees that had been charged. I was told that since stubhub considered my replacemenet tickets to be comparable that I had no option but to accept them.

The agents even agreed with me that the seats that I was given were not of the same value, and were in no way equal to the center ice, second row from the glass seats that I had originally purchased. Yet they insisted that they could not help me, and that I was stuck with what they offered me. I was horribly wronged by stubhub, and I will never use this service again. I did not get what I paid for. Not even close. They were not interested at all in doing the right thing. Be very careful who you buy tickets from on the internet. You may find yourself in a position as I have, where you pay a large amount of money, only to be ripped off by crooked companies like stubhub.
