Complaint Review: Student Services Inc.

We received a call from Student Services, wanting to sell cd's to help our child on their ACT/SAT upcoming exams.  The person even knew the date of the scheduled exams at our school.  My husband decided buy the cd's.  After asking my husband questions, he had questions too.  We called the company right back and asked our questions.  They neglected to tell my husband that apart from the $142.99, our credit card would be charge $24.95 a month. 

We immediately told this person that wasn't in our budget and we would like to cancel the order.  This person then stated we must go online to do this.  I asked why and the response was company policy.  We were told to go to the website and under no circumstances could it be cancelled via phone.

We were concerned, due to the fact, it was strange it couldn't be done over the phone.  We were also told it could take 30 to 60 days for our account to be credited.  We immediately went to the website and followed directions.  Unfortunately, it is now four months after our online cancellation of the cd's and we have yet to recify it.
