Student Zoom Student loan forgiveness ripoff San Diego California
In August 2015 I called Navient Student Loans to set up payments. I was told that I qualified for loan forgiveness. I placed an application, and paid $599 upfront. I am still unsure, as is Navient, how I was put through to Student Zoom, but I thought that everything was set up through Navient. I did know that a third party (studentzoom) would be handling my case, but was unaware that Navient had nothing to do with them. Student zoom told me that I would pay $20 a month for two years for the service. In November I was contacted by Navient saying that I am behind on payments. When I explained the loan forgiveness program, they explained that I was denied. Student Zoom continues to take $20 out monthly, and until today, January 29, 2016, they had not returned my calls. I was told by Dan, who refused to give me his name- employee ID 3606, that my paycheck stubs were blurry, and they could not make out the information, and that is why I was denied. Dan also told me that I had been sent 4 emails in November concerning this. I have received no emails, or calls from student zoom since August. I requested to have my money returned, since Student Zoom has provided me no service, and Dan refused to help in any way. I sent an email following this call to request my money back as well.
