Shannon from Studio carre just scammed me out of hundreds of $$$. She booked me for a shoot which included hair/makeup, 3 hours of photos, and all rights to all of my pictures. Now that the date is coming up, she is trying to charge me for every additional thing including changing my outfit!!! Can you believe that she would try to say that she has more work to do if i change clothes? Let me clarify that i am bringing my own outfits!!! if i have 3 hours of shooting why would it matter if i have one outfit or two? It just seems to me that she tries to scam people out of money and uses the vague contract to scare them into agreeing to her ridiculous terms. BEWARE!!!!

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, May 12, 2012

I am the owner of Studio Carre' Photographie that produces and shoots Boudoir Photo Sessions. I have never had negative feedback to this extreme in my 10 year career as a photographer and always want my clients to have a good experience. I pride myself on giving good service and keeping communication open.

This client booked me for a customized 3hr session that included one look / outfit. This session includes professional hair + makeup application (which alone takes 1.5-2 hours) with the remainder of the time reserved for shooting. If a client wants to additional looks / outfits then it is an additional charge. Adding on an additional look / outfit includes a change in outfit, hair + makeup, as well as additional shooting and editing time. This information was clearly displayed in the brochure that the client was given, as well as the contract that she signed when she booked.

Because we reserve a specific day / time for each shoot, our policy is to collect full payment up front. We have to not only schedule the photographer, an assistant, and the hair + makeup artists as well (up to 4 people). Because of this we do not issue refunds in the case of a cancellation and this is also clearly communicated in the contract that she signed when she booked. The studio understands that there are valid reasons for cancellations that we will absolutely work with a customer on and issue refunds if necessary.

However this client felt that numerous changes in outfits were included in her shoot, and when they were not, she decided to cancel the shoot. I urged her to think about it and get back to me after reviewing her documentation, but she stated there was nothing to think about and cancelled.

I will be more than happy to discuss this situation openly with potential clients should they see this and question using our services, so please do not hesitate to contact the studio at any time.
