Complaint Review: Style Runway

StyleRunway.com is a fashion website that supposedly offers designer fashion for more than half of it's original price. I recently read about this website in a legitimate magazine and decided to purchase a purse.

Soon after, I went on the website, ordered a purse, gave my credit card info, and placed the order. A week passed and I never even received a confirmation e-mail. I tried clicking on "track my order" and nothing was there.

A couple of days later I decided to send an e-mail asking about the status of my order...when I entered the website address, search results came up instead of the website. I began looking at the results and several of them were message boards with tons of other people exclaiming that this website is a scam. Some people have ordered thousands of dollars worth of retail and received nothing, and no responses.

I later tried e-mailing the address to cancel my order and got no response. I then tried calling their phone number several times, and it just kept ringing every time. Lastly I tried talking with "Jacob," the man who apparently runs the website, through their live chat.

I asked him about my order...he said it's already been shipped out. I asked, how can I track it? He said that I had to wait 2 business days to receive my tracking code! I asked why it would take 2 whole business days just to get my tracking number...he never answered. Then I asked for a phone number to cancel my order...he gave me one but said unfortunately the phone line is down due to "technical problems."
