Take my advice and that of many Sumeer homeowners in Texas - Do NOT purchase from Sumeer Homes if you are looking for a quality product and even mediocre service at best. I have had several problems with their management in the building process keeping their commitments and I am aware of at least half a dozen with similar concerns. I know of several Sumeer homeowners who said they would NEVER build with them again.

Sumeer over promises and under deliver on service and quality. The worst part is they don't want to be bothered with your concerns or questions. They have not met their terms of their agreement and now they are not responding to my calls.

Meera Snyder, the daughter of Sumeer Homes founder is in charge of design and serves on their management team is simply an order taker but tries to charge $100 an hour. She treated us rudely (I have the emails to back it up) and has no credentials to back up her fee. If you want to have a positive building experience try David Weekly, Cheshmar or Meritage. Summeer Homes is way out of their league if they think they can charge $400,000. for a home and give home buyers a horrible experience and don't want to be bothered with you after you sign on the dotted line.

Meera Really? You are in no way related or part owner of Sumeer?? You may want to explain that to your staff as they don't see it that way. You need to honest to yourself and your customer. If you look closer, the contract was terminated by the customer not builder. Fortunately the earnest money was returned which was the right thing to do. This customer has gone on to buy another house having an amazing experience in a much more upscale neighborhood with absolutely no problems at all. Ironically that only problems occur with Sumeer. If you were a smart business woman, you might ask yourself, maybe I should listen to what my customers have to say. If not you may find your business to be in jeapardy. Fortunetly, you have been operating in a strong economic market for some time which has allowed you to operate in any many you choose. This won't last forever. Take the advice of many business that have gotten arrogant, and take a long hard look at how you are doing business and listen to your customers and potential customers. As someone who has built many homes, I can say, your way of doing business is going to be one of the past. I pray for you and your sucess but more importantly, I pray that your business will survive your ego. The best of luck to you!!

The gentleman who wrote this, mr. Johnny Sanchez was an impossible buyer to deal with. As many builders know, these are the worst kind to do business with. They are impossible to please and have unrealistic expectations. We never even did business with him because the designer, the sales person, the builder, and the director of operations all immediately realized the type of buyer he was, hence the false report he wrote. I also have his rude, belittling emails.

The designer who is not related to the company has a degree in interior design and has been with the company for over 10 years. If we didn't build quality products, he wouldn't have been so upset about us canceling his contract and returning his earnest money. Every business person knows that you don't make money by giving stuff away for free just because someone feels entitled to have it. Time is not free. Neither is our service.

The designer offers two hours for free and then charges a fee to go over that time just like every other builder. Johnny Sanchez wrote the designer a belittling email refusing to come see her until he knew her credentials. If someone can afford a 400,000 dollar house, then what's the big deal about paying a fee if you go over the allotted time available which is more than enough. This buyer had nothing better to do with his time than constantly nit pick and email and trying to control the process. We told him to go elsewhere for a reason.
