Summer Bay Resort RIPOFF! high pressure sales with unavailable cancellation numbers Orlando Florida
I was phoned by a sales representative about a 3 day hotel stay in the city of my choice (I chose Myrtle Beach) for 9.95. I agreed and then they transfered me to Mary Gephart id#6125 to push a very attractive sounding Bahamas and Florida vacation package for $398 which included a cruise.
Mary told me that I could hold the package for $100 down and pay $50 a month. I replied that that sounded good, but I needed to speak with my husband. She said that was no problem, if he didn't agree just call her at (386)673-4702 and her extension and we could cancel the trip before I was ever charged as long as I called her before 12:00.
I called continuosly from 11:00 to 12:00 and was never able to get through. Either it's busy or a recording says they can't take my call. I looked up the website and used the access code she gave me to get the reservation phone number.
I spoke with a lady who transferred me to quality assurance. I stayed on hold for 40 minutes. I called again and explained to the representative how upset I was at this treatment. She transferred me to a direct line. The girl I spoke with tried to get me to accept something else instead of cancelling, but I told her I wasn't inclined to believe anything after the difficulty even contacting anyone.
She said I will cancel your trip and you will recieve a refund in 7-10 days then hung up on me! I will send cancellation letters to the addresses I found on another scam site just to make sure. Here are the addresses and fax numbers I found for anyone else who needs them.
Wish me luck!
