Complaint Review: Summer Bay Resorts

Summer Bay Resorts is a rip off company who promises owners things and entitlement and know it's false. Owners purchaase a timeshare and only can stay in what was purchased but the sales pitch states otherwise and access to other areas. False!

The presentation last ALL day and you walk away with the bill and never items or living arrangements that were promised. They get to spend money and get minimum access but promise the owner unlimited access. They book for one thing and find out it is their fault and they unbook you for lesser value and state that is what you as a owner purchased.

It was told that if we purchased the unit, we could still upgrade to a higher unit of stay based on availability but that is NOT true. They pretended our points of gold was in the top percentage of ownership needed and found out, we don't have access to NOTHING but a promise and the unit we purchased!

The site for restuarants and travel savings are for BIG cities, not small cities! Limited timeshares to use exploria points ONLY but have plenty of places to get with an exchange fee. This is crazy! Paying a monthly mortage, taxes, & maintenance fees monthly and then pay for a vacation which can run $1,000 or more!!

This company says and does anything to sell units! Please listen when they talk to you and ask them to show that you can in an upgraded area if there is room! Basically, you get what you pay for but they will place you in the top ownership with false promises and incentives.

The presidential through RCI is the way to go according to them. Plantitum is NOT that great and gold is worse!!! If you are NOT presidential status through RCI, don't expect for them to honor NOTHING they said. Get EVERYTHING in writing and language that you can read.

Their sales pitch is awesome and the returns are awful!
