Prior to June, 05,2007 Summer Bay called numerous times and I declined their offers. Then, on the above date I received an email invitation stating: Congratulations Annie, you have received a Free Vacation to Las Vegas with 3 days +2 nights...Call Right Now! 1800-9951208 with Claim #YANCD1428. Since I am VP/Co-Treasurer for MID AMERICA ADAPTIVE LAND SAILING FOUNDATION who travel to Las Vegas 2x per year for the purpose of teaching for personal use/competition the idea sounded wonderful.

On June, 05,2007 I responded to the call for INFORMATION. Furthermore, I was explicit that I am Only interested in Las Vegas for Land Sailing, and, we stay in Primm, Nevada at Primm Resorts located walking distance from Ivanpah Dry Lake where we Land Sail + leave our boats overnight. In conjunction, Summer Bay representative offered: Orlando Vacation with tickets to Disney, Free Hotel Accommodation, Bahamas Cruise, etc etc. I refused Orlando for the fact that: My family reside in Orlando, work for Disney+. Therefore, I refused the Orlando package and told her that my ONLY interest is LAS. She requested my credit information and PROMISED this credit information is to: Be applied to Las Vegas, and, ONLY Charged when reservations are confirmed by mail. During the following days I called numerous times to cancel and was put on HOLD for over 30 minutes, disconnected. So I mailed a cancellation notice.

When I received my bank statement a Charge of $498.00US appeared. I called Summer Bay and spoke to a different person each time. I was told that I CANNOT CANCEL. Consequently, I verbalized that I can apply the $498.00 towards the LAS VEGAS Deposit and failed to realize that another charge of $30.00 was added. Sometime in July, 07, 2007. called Juniper/Barclays and complained about Summer Bay's refusal to issue a refund. They said: TRY TO WORK IT OUT WITH THE MERCHANT! So, I tried.

During this time I sent Summer Bay correspondence including: phone calls, emails and letters stating: That OUR TRIP IS BOOKED with itinerary, car rental, WHERE DO I STAY? Where is the LAS Vegas Accommodation that YOU CHARGED $528.00, and Advertised as FREE 3days+2Nights? Someone named Jennifer told me that I did not qualify for LAS VEGAS! Kelley's behavior was rude, loud stating: YOU HAVE NO REFUND/CREDIT. When I called my bank with explanation a $528.00 was issued to my account. Our group of seniors, families with young children stayed in Primm, NV. for five days.

On 12/17+18/2008 Juniper RECHARGED my credit card claiming that I have not sent additional requested information pertaining to Summer Bay's information I have confirmed signature that Juniper received my credit within the given time. It seem as though Summer Bay gave the bank rhetoric and the bank decided that I should communicate with Summer Bay!

Consequently, I spoke to Mr. Ken Branch and he offered a credit of $117.00. with Orlando vacation with Condo stay, free tickets etc etc. He told me I could cancel within 7 days. The following day I sent a letter of cancellation via Special Overnight Delivery with signature.

As of today, I have received NOTHING in Writing, paying $528.00+interest. This, is UNFAIR. I have contacted the States Atty. Office, FDIC in DE with Juniper Bank.
Summer Bay Business attitude caused me much embarassment, inconvenience and $$$$. I am a senior with a disability who trusted Summer Bay with my credit information. I offered to pay a small administrative fee with refusal of a $117.00 verbal promise. Meanwhile, I have to pay $528.00+interest for NO SERVICES RECEIVED!

Summer Bay made an adjustment of only $87.00 Juniper Bank caught in a web of their own lies

on 01/28/2008 Summer Bay credited my charge of $528.00 with ONLY $87.00. Also, the AG of IL contacted me with counsel: Summer Bay may contact you about a possible settlement..We encourage you to consider any reasonable offer. Also, direct all correspondence to us!... The Better Business of Central Florida,Inc, Denise Parramore, Consumer Affairs contacted me stating..They have tried to resolve this matter..they expect Summer Bay to act responsibility and have noted that the company did not offer any adjustment..the information provided will remain on file for three years In, conjunction, The BBB sent me a letter in which Mr. James R. Baker of Summer Bay says that he will contact The Attorney General of Illinois directly. Meanwhile, Mr. Quinn of DE, FDIC contacted me requesting further information stating that I told Juniper Bank"I did not authorize Summer Bay charge". As Juniper lies and says that "On 01/17/2008 I told them that I DID AUTHORIZE THE CHARGE and doing business with juniper! On 01/24/2008 Summer Bay and Juniper sent me a Sales confirmation with Terms/Conditions which Summer Bay had already cancelled! Are they incompetent! I feel it is time for the News Media/Attorney to respond to this crock!

on 02/07/2008 I faxed Juniper Bank a copy of: Rippoff report, my letters to the Attorney General Office in IL, FL and copies sent to Juniper in August07,2007-January, 2008. I speak to someone new each time who is unaware of my correspondence...but I have confirmed signatures with dates.

Despite my instructions that Juniper must not authorize any charges to Summer Bay Resorts, Tammy Bogia decided it is her decision to do so. Therefore, SHE made some sort of deal with confirmation without my knowledge, approval. In conjunction, she decided that I should contact Summer Bay as I have time left for a vacation, and continue to debit my account for $528.00 SHE WILL NOT ANSWER MY CALL. Therefore, I believe everything each consumer is verbalizing on Rippoff. In conjunction, I feel that each victim should contact the Attorney General in their State, FL. Also, Summer Bay is continually ripping off people from all over the world. (www.summer bay complaints) and may pocketing/sharing the money with a possibility of not reporting all income to the IRS. Please consumers do not be a victim. Report It!

Additional information: Summer Bay Resorts is a BBB member in Florida and anyone can check their complaints/restoration. Read Trip Advisor for more information! Also, put in your 3 cents on file as it is a free service. I did!

Furthermore, I explained to Summer Bay that our engineer modified New LandSailer boats for the US Veterans with loss of limbs. In conjunction, he designed TWIN BOATS as one person can steer while the other trim the sails. These are some of the people who travel to Las Vegas for National competition as seen on:www.windline.net . Therefore Summer Bay reflected a lack of concern for these individuals.
