If you value your money, then do not do business with SunAmerica Solar!! This is the biggest ripoff company in town. They use high pressure sales tactics and utilize a clever questionaire that is commonly used with in home sales presentations.

Here is how this scam works;

A telemarketer contacts you and sets up an appointment for you to meet with a in home sales rep. Once you agree to a time and date the lead is texted to the cell of one of their independent contractors. Realize that the salesperson coming over to your home has no references checked, no background check and nothing has been verified with SunAmerica at all. They hire reps based on a 5 min interview and some 3 minute test that measures how tenacious they are and whether or not they easily give up.

Upon entering your home, and building some rapport they begin the presentation with a questionaire that gives them control and leads you to believe they are official and they are there to help you.

After the questionaire, the laptop presentation begins. This consist of a slide show and a 10 min video about a product called aeroseal that apparently seals up holes in your duct system. This sealing product is normally a few hundred dollars this company charges thousands! Realize that this entire video presentation is to get your confidence and helps to gain credibility with you, the consumer.

Once the laptop presentation is finished they will then begin the confusing, fuzzy math portion of the visit. They use phrases like, "other than the money is there any reason why you wouldn't purchase today?" They will also use a program they call the Go Green Now program to urge you to buy today.

If you agree to the "go green now", you have to sign a form that states you will give them 5 names of friends or family as referrals. You agree to put a sign in your yard, advertising for them. You agree to flexible scheduling so they can save you money since they are in your area this week. This is a huge lie!! Flexible scheduling means installing the next morning so you wont have buyers remorse and by the time the finance guy shows up to your home to sign all the finance papers, the system is in your home. Most people are defeated by that time and just sign away. Don't do it, have it removed. Legally there is a 3 day cancellation period. The last requirement for the go green now, is you agree to buy at the time of presentation. If you agree to all this then they use your phone (gaining control) to call a "manager" Stan Elder, James Farrelly or Carl McNeil. This phone call is such B.S!! The sales rep acts like they are trying to get you appoved for a huge discount. Essentially they are just creating a sense of urgency to get you to "Go Green Now" Then then drop the price about $3000.00, wow and now you only have to pay $10,000 for a system that cost only a fraction of the price. It is all a lie, they are nothing but predators hoping your'e not smart enough to stop this process dead in it's tracks!

 The numbers don't add up!! Consumers all you have to do is ask a couple of questions and you'l understand this is a scam. They charge anywhere from $10,000- $13,000 for the system. ASK THESE QUESTIONS!!

1. What is the interest rate of the loan? (13.99%) your credit score doesn't matter

2. What is the length of the loan? (10 years) I know very hard to believe, but its true.

3. How long have you been in business? (August 2009 is when the az registrar of contractors have them on record for approving their application.)

4. Have your company changed their name at all in the last 5 years. (several)

5. Do they have an employee (Stan Elder) who has had their license revoked? (yes)

6. Can I think about it? (they will leave your home as quickly as possible)

Consumers the solar hot water system they sell for $10,000 can be installed by a reputable contractor for about $3500.00 Don't it!!

Stay as far away as possible read the fine print and never buy anything from this company. I promise you will regret it.
