The "Lakewood Sun Post" is one of a chain of weekly community newspapers in Greater Cleveland area. I don't subscribe, but I read the paper on a regular basis when I'm jobhunting. All the papers actually have Thursday dates on them but, in the hands of a competent delivery person, they're available on Wednesday evening. Getting the "Lakewood Sun Post" early helps me by allowing me an advance look at the classifieds before the prople who get the paper on Thursday morning. There's also a tv-listings magazine that is helpful to me in preprograming my VCR. These are minor conveniences, but conveniences that I've nonetheless grown accustomed to and look forward to. I have one of those lives here I won't take small pleasures for granted.

The Sun Newspaper vending box just around the corner from me, in front of Sakura Japanese restaurant at 15400 Detroit Avenue, is never filled -- sometimes, it isn't even filled on Thursday. One of the perks of getting the paper from the vending box is, it's 25-cents cheaper than buying it off the news stand in the store.

I've complained in writing to Terri Andrus, Human Resources drone (because she's carrying dead weight on her payroll); Jeff Schultz in the Circulation Department; Linda Kinsey, executive editor; and now, Douglas Lightner, the publisher. I've also written an email to parent company Advance Publications.

I feel the delivery person and all those who are enabling him are acting in bad faith -- offering a service then revoking it for no good reason; and cheating their advertisers out of exposure. Futher, the staff of Sun Newspapers are completely disdainful of customer satisfaction.

Sun Newspapers' Spiteful Ill-Will Against Customers Intensifies

#2Author of original report

Thu, March 20, 2008

Sun Newspapers' personnel Douglas Lightner, Linda Kinsey, Jeff Shultz, Terri Andrus, Sun Newspapers and Advance Publications are persisting in their actions that are based in antagonism, bad faith, ill will and deliberately poor customer-service by condoning their delivery person's arbitrary and simpleminded refusal to make the Lakewood Sun Post available in the vending box in front of Sakura Japanese Restaurant at 15400 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood, Ohio.

Again, each and every Wednesday without fail, the paper is delivered to Discount DrugMart locations at 11900 and 15412 Detroit Avenue, as well as Marc's in Lakewood City Center, Giant Eagle at Bunts Road and Detroit Avenue, and to every other business within a mile of the vending box in question.

Further, even though the Lakewood Sun Post is freely available throughout Lakewood on Wednesday evening, only the staff at Discount DrugMart at 15412 Detroit Avenue is instructed not to sell the paper until Thursday morning. Even though Douglas Lightner, left a demeaning, harassing, intimidating and demeaning message on my answering machine indicating the paper is a Thursday weekly, home delivery begins on Wednesday evening. As I stated previously, I have no interest in home delivery, buy the paper on a week-to-week basis and wish to have the Lakewood Sun Post to aid me in my job search.
