On 5/02/07 we attended a presentation at 8117 State Road 52 Hudson Florida, because we were offered a complimentary 5 day cruise with our ports of call being Key West, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel provided we attended the presentation. We did not purchase the vacation package as we did not feel it was a good investment. We did however, try to claim our "complementary gift" for attending the presentation. We were not given the cruise package initially offered. We were given a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas. When I telephoned the company explaining we were given the wrong cruise, we were told they reserved the right to change our package to another gift. When I stated I felt it was a scam, I was told by a supervisor named Doug, "There are worse scams out there and at least I was given something. People are milked out of thousands everyday and at least you were given something."

While sitting at my computer typing this complaint, I received a phone call from a Manager named Mike at The Reservation Department (877) 968-8872. Mike informed me he had spoken to his supervisor and they decided to mail out the package I was offered. He apologized for the delay in receiving the promised "complimentary gift" and told me I should receive it within 10-14 days. This took no less than 10 phone calls and informing them I would be turning them into Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which regulates travel companies in Florida. I am hopeful they actually send the "promised complimentary gift" in the time manner inwhich they now promise. We shall see!!

I am sick and tired of hearing how horrible you think this company is. I have traveled many times with this company and have a great time on vacation every time. It appears you people have nothing better to do but talk about this company. My theory of this is atleast they are big enough to talk about. This is really sad to see on a company that has never done me wrong.

GET A LIFE PEOPLE!

This complaint is filed in error as United Vacation Network does not offer, service, or fulfill any form of a complimentary travel voucher. Consumers are contacted by marketing companies world-wide who schedule appointments for several travel providers and offer their incentives for attending a presentation. We fulfill our travel memberships that consumers purchase. Those memberships do not entitle our members to any complimentary cruise; that is given just for attending the presentation. Consumer accept and acknowledge that we do not offer any form of incentive for attending the presentation that is offered by the outside marketing company prior to the presentation. Any complaint against the marketing agency needs to be filed directly to them as we can not comment on their behalf. United Vacation Network stands behinds any and all promises made.
