After being called because I "won" a "free" cruise wither to Mexico or the Caribbean, I went to their no-obligation meeting in New Jersey.  My fiance and I like to travel each year at least once and after hearing what they had to offer it sounded like a great idea to be part of a vacation club and most of all what sold me was that they had a property in Aruba and the salesperson showed all the wonderful places that I would be able to travel to (they showed me a list that had percentages next to each place, which indicated the percentage of where people traveled).  Well come to find out after I had already signed up, the biggest seller for me which was the Aruba property, not only had an age requirement of 35 (mind you I'm 29 my fiance is 25) but you had to pay an additional fee of $70/per person/per day (so an additional $980 and not to mention the additional $35/per child/per day). But the real kicker is that Aruba was the big item for me that sold me in addition to Costa Rica (for which they do not have a property but the sales person assured me that I'd be able to travel to) but the Aruba property is not available any longer because they no longer own the property/  What kind of BS is that?????  By the way I found out that they no longer own the property after doing research months later and reading all these things people have been saying about Sundance (Tan) and decide I needed to call and cancel my contract.  The representative Sarah in the Reservations Department was very addament about how everything was on the contract and that they will nto cancel my contract.  So I told her I would be going to the Attorney General Office and making a report about them because the 2 places that sold me on the program (aruba and Costa Rica) are nto a posssibility for me.  I've been trying to get Costa Rica booked for 3 months but because I'm not flexible enough with my dates they cannot find me an available property.  And now they no longer own the Aruba property so I forget using my vacation weeks to go there.

Also, when I called the first time to cancel my contract the first thing they asked was if I was making payments, I said yes and they told me I would have to call Tristate Financial which is the company that has my loan.  I called Tri-State and their answer was "you can't cancel your contract, this is a loan and you have to pay it off, we paid Sundance off and now you owe us the loan in full".  I told them it was absurd to that I would pay them for a product I could not use.  I then called my credit card company and told them not to allow any more charges from Tri-State beccause I'm disputing the contract.

So after calling Sundance speaking to someone and getting nowhere I faxed a letter as a followup to the conversation I had with them and threatened to go to the Attorney General.  Sure enough the next day I got a call stating that my contract was being cancelled and a full refund being issued.

As many blogs say be persistent!!!!
