Complaint Review: Sunlight Saunas

Sunlight Saunas Sells Garbage!  I bought one of these pos infrared saunas from sunlight saunas at a trades how after being rapped by the used car salesman at their booth.  I thought initially these saunas were great, but couldn't of been spun a larger pile of B.S. in my entire life.

FACT: Their saunas are cheaply made JUNK!  The wood components these craptastic cabins are made out of started to warp on me after 3 months of use!

FACT: The components, namely the heaters; were made in CHINA!  The salesperson insisted up and down till he was blue in the face that everything was made here in the U.S.A. They were the best saunas in the world, they were featured on Oprah!  Dr. Oz recommends these models cuz they're the best!  THEY'RE NOT!  They are absolutely the best JUNK you can buy!

I do not believe Oprah Winfrey knows what sort of scam this company has pulled on her and to be featured on her show, because this is the largest racket they've got going.  Their lifetime warranty is useless.  It costs me over $500 U.S. currency to have my cabin sent to be repaired!  That cost is because due to their warranty I have to cover the cost of shipping it out and back!  I was blatantly LIED to by the representative who assured me that the warranty covered every square inch of my sauna against ANY defect or workmanship... For LIFE.  TOTALLY NOT TRUE!

This was a outright lie in the fact the salesman only gave a partial truth.  The warranty as this company will define has to be covered by you the customer covering the shipping cost.  The salesman did in fact tell me that was covered.  A complete lie just to make a buck.  I should of read the fine print and I'm the only one to blame for being mislead because I should of known better then to believe a scam artist telling me whatever I wanted to hear.  It is an absolute crying shame that you can get away with promising anything you want to the customer and having them sign their life away only to find out the fine print he lied!

It is going to cost me more to have this pile of junk repaired then it is to buy a new one! I have to even have the heater replaced which broke due to warping of the wood pushing on the heater causing it to crack.  I inspected the heater only to find...do my eyes deceive me?  MADE IN CHINA!!  WTF??!  They are NOT made in the U.S.A.  Imagine that!  The salesman lied AGAIN!  I'm so sick of the B.S. by this company it makes, that I physically get ill.  My stomach literally churns every time I see their website and the featured "Best on oprah" Bull they try to pull.

Do NOT buy from this company!

Don't give them any of your hard earned money!

Sunlight saunas is nothing more then cheap used care salesmen that try to peddle junky made foreign crap that is way overpriced.  These infrared saunas are nothing more then polished turds.  It may look nice and shiny, but nothing can change the fact it's still a turd... no matter how you polish it!

Their products are total junk and nothing the salesman told me I'm finding out was true.  Everything he said was merely for the sake of a high pressure sale and for the sake of building confidence and trust. I'm a sucker and I fell for the greatest con job on earth.

Since I've decided to find a better company, I found another scam sauna company which was luxsauna.  Not only do they sell pos saunas as well... but they are BANKRUPT!!  They filed bankruptcy for whatever reason there is, but I won't buy a pos sauna from these people either.  Their saunas are luxury model junk as well as I have found doing some simple research.

I guess you can't find a reputable company anywhere these days.  It's the american way to mislead, lie, and scam consumers to buy cheaply made, overpriced bulls***. 

I found a website that exposed a lot of the truth about infrared sauna companies and was very glad to find a company that was family owned, operated, manufactured, and even cut the cost of dealer price because it was all "in house"  

I won't mention the company's name here, but I will that I found a website called bestinfraredsaunas.org and it gives the TRUTH about infrared saunas.  It shouldn't be this hard to find a good and reputable company to buy a sauna from.  I sold my sunlight sauna on craig's list to a woman that I was sure to inform her of ALL the problems it had.  She insisted on buying it in spite of that and was even nice enough to pay me $500 including the shipping to take that pile of garbage off my hands.

I should of just taken it directly to the dump to be honest.  I figured after I bent over and grabbed my ankles and took it up the wazoo for being totally scammed by sunlight saunas, I might as well try to regroup some of my money I threw away since they were not interested in helping me with the crap sauna they sold me.  I am so peeved I can't even see straight.  thank god I found this rip off report site.  If I only found it sooner!

My current sauna I can say is actually working just fine and has yet to be seen how well made it is.  For now it is great, but I've only had my new one for 2 months.  At least it's not warping yet!

Lesson To Be Learned: Don't be a sucker for shmuck salesmen.  Do your homework and make SURE you research the company first!  If I had known what a rip off sunlight saunas are, I would of never bought one.  I was taken for a ride by lies and b.s. the salesman told me and like the sucker I am, I bought it hook line and sinker.

Oprah should research these scam artists a little bit better then she does before featuring these crooks on her show.  It's a sad world we live in when con artists have to make their living taking advantage of hard working honest folks that believe the b.s. they tell.  Even Oprah has been scamed by other rip off artists on her show and it's humiliating and degrading when companies like this do that to us.
