Sunrise Assisted Living Sunrise requires that their residents pay for memory care even though they are not using the services Nationwide

My mother went into Sunrise requiring no services other than meal preparation. She loves the room they provided. She has become demented with time. However, she still requires very few services. Those include, laundry, distribution of a few pills per day and care of her hearing aide at night. The facility uses my mother's love of her room and strong wish not to move as leverage to require her to submit to $2500/month in additional fees. She is not using any of the the services that those in the memory care use. She is not even physically in the memory unit. This is basically extortion. Do not send your mother here.
