Sunshine Travel Escapes ripoff on holiday cruise. took money without authorisation. promised refund claimed didnt recieve sent back package. fraudulent dishonest Orlando Florida
i recieved a phonecall saying i was entitled to claim a holiday for a 5 day cruise orlando florida for 4 people for 573.57. i was not interested at all, they then went on to say i had up to a year to take the holiday. they were very persistant. they then offered to send me a brochure to look at. i agreed with this and gave them my details. they then asked me for my credit card details, i was not keen on doing this. i then asked why i needed to do this and they assured me no money would be taken, unless i booked the holiday. they then said it would only be a holding deposit and assured me again no money would be taken. to my stupidity i believed them. i was very wary of the phonecall so the next day i checked my account and the 573.57 had been taken!! i was shocked and angry.
i rang them up on the number they gave me to get through to a dead ring tone. i then found their number on their website to find out what had happened. they said no one could talk to me at that time that they would ring me back. after a few days i recieved two package folders which came from parcel force.
i then recieved a phonecall from sunshinetravel asking me when i want to take the holiday.. i was fuming and explained what had happened, they apologised and said i have 30 days for a refund if i send back the packages. the same day i sent the packages back via recorded delivery. two weeks later i phoned them.
they then claimed not to have recieved the packages. more lies!!! i then contacted my credit card and reported it as an unauthorised payment. i got credited back my money. just when i thought all was forgotten i recieved a letter from my credit card re-debiting me the 573.57 as the company emailed them 'so called' proof of my purchase. this was the signiture of the delivery of the packages!! now im stuck with a holiday that i can't take and short 600!!
this company is the biggest rip off and impossible to contact and speak to someone of help.. if anyone recieves a phonecall from sunshine travel escapes put the phone down!! u'll be better off!!!!!!!!!!

The signed proof of delivery is prooving you took part in the transaction. However, the terms and conditions you agreed upon were not adhered to. I urge you to call your credit card company immediately and explain to them you were not supposed to be charged up front. Tell them you did participate in the transaction but had canceled the merchandise and you have proof the merchant received the package back. Do this NOW! This company is going out of business and may be gone soon!
You are right, they are the biggest scam around. They were given strict instructions not to telemarket in the U.K., but obviously they haven't listened to this either.
